Easy Weekly Menus

This blog will provide you with dinner menus for the week, recipes for each meal, and the shopping list.

Planning your meals for the week has a lot of advantages.  First, it is much less stressful than trying to decide what to have for dinner at 4:30 p.m.!  If you know what you are making for dinner, and if you have prepared some of the dinner ahead of time, dinner preparation will be easy and stress free! Second, you save precious time.  One trip to grocery store a week! Third you save money. Shopping a list ensures you only buy what you need.

The goal of the weekly menu is to weave the ingredients in and out of the dinners during the week so that by the end of the week, you have used up most of your food.  If there are 1/2 jars left, we will do our best to use them in future weeks.  And those good intention purchases – the food you “thought” you would use but didn’t – the food that ultimately gets thrown out because it has passed its expiration date or has turned an unattractive green color – stays on the store’s shelf not yours.

Lastly, and most importantly, you have a better chance of eating healthier – low fat, low carb, low sodium, low sugar. Last minute meal planning doesn’t always yield a healthy meal.  Non-stop day?  Working mom? Carpools at dinnertime? Try these menus and see if you don’t eat healthier and tastier meals!
